PDEA seizes P6-M 'shabu' in Milaor, Camarines Sur

NAGA CITY, March 20 (PNA) -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated one kilo of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) estimated to be worth P6 million during a search warrant at a residence just in front of the police station in the town of Milaor, about five kilometers away from Naga City, Sunday night.

PDEA Agent Noe Brigel said the shabu was found and seized in the house of siblings McNiel and Tristan Abines, after a composite team of PDEA agents and policemen enforced the search warrant issued by Executive Judge Pablo Fomaran of a regional trial court in Naga City.

Brigel said it took them one month of surveillance operation of the suspected illegal drug trading of the “pushers” before applying for the search warrant and pouncing on them around 9 p.m. Sunday when they were finally able to carry out the operation.

He said aside from the Abineses, four other persons -- Ivan Soreta, Meland Cabase, Bobby Pequit and Ben Araojo were inside the residence at Diaz St. corner Ibarlin St. in Barangay Del Rosario.

Brigel said the house of the Abineses siblings is being used a drug den and the four other persons who were arrested were “users.”

“The shabu seized (in Milaor) is so far the biggest that has been confiscated by PDEA this year in Camarines Sur,” he said. (PNA) LAP/GVR/JEJR/CBD
