LEGAZPI CITY, June 28 (PNA) -- Anti-illegal drug police operatives collared on Monday a suspected lady drug peddler during a raid at her residence in Barangay Sabang, a coastal village here, the Philippine National Police (PNP) in this city said.
The raiding team arrested Shirley Esplana, a city resident and illegal drug pusher whose name is included in the anti-narcotics watch list, said Police Supt. Joselito Esico, City police chief.
Barangay Sabang is considered by anti-illegal drug enforcement authorities as among the hot spot village in this city.
Esico said seized from the suspect during the raid conducted at about 3:40 p.m. Monday were 35 sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride popularly known as shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia.
The raiding team were armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trail Court Judge Frank Lobrigo against the suspect for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The suspect is in the custody of the police awaiting court disposition.(PNA) FFC/CBD
