LEGAZPI CITY, Oct. 5 (PNA) —- Anti-narcotics lawmen arrested Wednesday the fifth most wanted in the illegal drug watch list of the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO5) in Barangay Oro Site in this city.

Senior Insp. Luisa Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson, said a combined team of operatives swooped down on the house of Minsuary Cadayon alias "Minsoy," 27, at Purok 1, Barangay Oro Site on Wednesday morning and arrested him for possession of illegal drugs.

The lawmen seized six sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), aluminum foils and other drug paraphernalia from Cadayon.

Calubaquib said Cadayon is one of the three regional drug personalities who are subject of surveillance operation in the village.

She said Cadayon’s older brother Ameroding was arrested by anti-narcotics policemen in Barangay Arimbay, Legazpi City on October 7, 2011 for possession of illegal drugs while his father Amir was also nabbed in 2014 for the same offense.

Calubaquib said Cadayon was under surveillance by the Legazpi City Police Office (CPO) and Albay Provincial Police Office (PPO) after police received reports from villagers about the illegal drug trade in Barangay Oro Site.

After confirming the reports, operatives from Legazpi (CPO), the Provincial Intelligence Branch, Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group and 5th Regional Public Safety Battallion under Senior Supt. Antonino Cirujales, director of Albay PPO, conducted the raid on Cadayon’s house.

The lawmen issued a search warrant from Judge Alben C. Rabe of Tabaco City Regional Trial Court Branch 15.

Cirujales said Legazpi City Mayor Noel Rosal and Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara personally requested them to give special attention to Barangay Oro Site because of the rampant illegal drug trade in the area. (PNA) LAP/GVR/JH/CBD
