Salceda, Bichara lead the oath taking and induction ceremonies of the local officials in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY, June 30 (PNA) -- First in the history of Albay province that the elected Congressman of the second district, the Governor, Vice Governor and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan took oath at one venue at the same time Monday afternoon.

Congressman elect Joey Sarte Salceda of the 2nd district and Governor elect Al Francis Bichara led the occasion. Joining them were Vice Governor Harold Ong Imperial and the new members of the 12th Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

In the first district, the board members are Reynaldo B. Bragais, Victor V. Ziga Jr. at re-elected Job B. Belen.

For second district are board members Richard Benjamin C. Imperial at Ralph A. Andes and Raul Rosal, a new comer.

In the third district all board members are new comers. They are Jesus S. Salceda Jr., Dante R. Arandia, Howard Sim. O Imperial and Eva Josephine L. Ribaya.

The ceremony started with the invocation which was led by Fr. Benjamin A. Andes Jr. It was followed by the presentation of the elected officials by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Albay Provincial Director Olivio D. Ramirez.

Congressman Joey Sarte Salceda took his oath before Barangay Captain Benhur B. Ariola Jr. of Brgy. Homapon, Legazpi City.

Governor Al Francis Bichara took his oath before Regional Trial Court Presiding Judge Edgar L. Armes.

While Vice Gov. Harold Imperial and the 10 members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan took theirs before Governor Al Francis Bichara.

Salceda said, "This is very historic and momentous event that the Governor, Vice Governor, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Congressman of the second district took their oath in one venue."

He said, "This occasion is a grandest display of unity for the Albayanos which is good for the province."

He also said that this was the first time that there is an orderly and systematic transfer, both symbolic and physical transfer of all the powers and authority of the Provincial Government.

Salceda also asked everybody's support for the new governor Al Francis Bichara, saying he is one of the most trusted one of the new President. He emphasized that Bichara is the man of the hour for Albay.

He likewise extended his thanks to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by Vice Governor Harold Imperial for their full support for the past nine years. (PNA) FFC/NIM/CBD
