LEGAZPI CITY, June 22 (PNA) -- Instead of giving up, a 38-year-old alleged drug pusher shot it out with arresting police officers from San Jose Municipal Police Station (SJMPS) and Lagonoy MPS who were about to serve a search warrant in Gawad Kalinga Site, Barangay Telegrafo, San Jose, Camarines Sur about 4 p.m. Monday, a police report reaching Camp Gen. Simeon A. Ola here said Wednesday.
Police officers tried to bring the dying suspect, Roy S. Abragan, 38, to the Partido District Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Abragan's companion, Jarmark Hara, who was a target of another search warrant, surrendered peacefully.
Recovered from Abragan was a caliber 22 gun with four bullets while seized from Hara were four sachets of suspected shabu, .45-caliber pistol bullets and drug paraphernalia.
Senior Insp. Bernardo Peñero and Senior Andrew Alcomendas, chiefs of police of SJMPS and LMPS, respectively, served the search warrants signed by Judge Ma. Angela Acompañado-Arroyo after verifying a report on the scheduled transaction of the suspects. (PNA) FFC/FGS/JH/CBD
