LEGAZPI CITY, June 3 (PNA) -– Various units of the Philippine National Police Regional Office 5 arrested six persons wanted for various offenses during the week.
Hauled in to jail were Noe C. Pellosis, Eleno C. Latonio, Maria Rizza Veneranda C. Cantuba, Lydia M. Salvador, Renato C. Cambronero and Ronel L. Almojuela.
Elements of Minalabac Municipal Police Station (MMPS) caught Pellosis on Tuesday at Barangay Del Carmen-Del Rosario, Minalabac, Camarines Sur, by virtue of a warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Judge Erwin Virgilio P. Ferrer of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 20, Naga City, for frustrated kidnapping and illegal detention of a minor with Php200,000 bail recommended.
Latonio was collared by operatives of the Castilla MPS led by PO2 Domingo Lerio at Barangay Quirapi, Castilla, Sorsogon, also on Tuesday.
Judge Rofebar F. Gerona of RTC Branch 52, Sorsogon City, ordered his arrest for violation of RA 8550 as amended by RA 10654.
Cantuba was caught by joint personnel of Bulan MPS, Sorsogon Police Provincial Office led by PO2 Warren G. Razo, and San Fernando MPS, Masbate PPO led by SPO1 Mary Ann Esparrago at Barangay Zone 4, Bulan, Sorsogon, at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday.
The police were armed with a WOA for estafa issued by Arturo Clemente B. Revil, presiding judge of RTC Branch 50, San Jacinto, Masbate, with bail of Php46,000.
Salvador was taken in by operatives of San Andres MPS led by PO1 Aldin Binalla at her residence in Barangay Codon, San Andres, Catanduanes for violation of Sec. 10 (a) of R.A. 7610.
Lelu P. Contreras, acting presiding judge of RTC Branch 42, Virac, Catanduanes, ordered Salvador’s arrest with a recommended bail of Php 80,000.
Members of three police units handcuffed Cambronero at Purok 4A, Barangay Dalas, Labo, Camarines Norte by virtue of a WOA issued by Roberto Escaro, presiding judge of RTC Branch 46, Labo, Camarines Norte, for violation of RA 9262, with a bail of at Php 80,000.
Elements of San Fernando MPS led by Police Senior Insp. Rodel C. Arevalo arrested Almojuela on order of Judge Arturo Clemente B. Revil of RTC Branch 50, San Jacinto, Masbate, for violation of R.A. 6539 (Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972), with a bail of Php180,000.
