Bicol cops nab 17 more wanted persons

LEGAZPI CITY, June 14 (PNA) -- Different police stations of Police Regional Office 5 caught in the past three days 17 more persons who were ordered arrested by various courts for offenses ranging from theft to rape and murder.

Several of them belonged to the top 10 most wanted persons in their locality.

This number is aside from the 18 wanted persons arrested last week.

Hauled in different jails across the region were Yulo F. Pada, Myrnel B. Pablo, Jomen Paduga Jr., Jessie A. Abraham, Ronald E. Purcia, Roberto Z. Caneso, Noel R. Celestial, Roy I. Jacob, Rogelio V. LLaban, Arnold A. Garcia, Raffy C. Belano, Joel C.Alburo, Elwin C. Bongala, Raymond Gogola, Freddie Bredes, Edmundo B. Canicula and Antonio M. Lopos.

Senior Insp. Ma. Luisa Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson, said the arrests were part of the Lambat Sibat Operation of the Philippine National Police.

Vinzons Municipal Police Station (MPS) cornered Pada on Sunday at his house in Barangay Calancawan Sur, Vinzons, Camarines Norte, based on a warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Judge Robert Victor Marcon of Regional Trial Cour (RTC) Branch 54 of Lucena City, for violation of Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence against Women and Children.

Also on Sunday, Pablo got caught in Jose Panganiban, Camarines for violation of Republic Act 9262 with a recommended bail of PHP80,000.

On the same day, police collared Paduga, ranked No. 2 most wanted person in Milagros, Masbate, at Barangay Pating, Masbate City, on order of Judge Manuel Sese of RTC Branch 45, Masbate City.

At 6:30 p.m., the same day, Jose Panganiban MPS and Provincial Intelligence Branch of Camarines Norte netted Abraham in Barangay Larap, Jose Panganiban town for illegal drugs for which Judge Roberto Escaro of Daet RTC Branch 38 recommended a bail of PHP200,000.

The same night, elements of Basud MPS arrested Purcia for theft on order of Judge Arniel Dating of RTC Branch 41 in Daet.

At 8:40 p.m. of the same day, authorities, armed with a WOA issued by Judge Salve Eva of RTC Branch 35 of Iriga City, handcuffed Caneso for four counts of rape and one case of attempted rape.

Later at 9:30 p.m., police found Celestial at his residence in Barangay Villaflorida, Ocampo, Camarines Sur.

The suspect was wanted for homicide by Judge Vivencio Gregorio of RTC Branch 32 of Pili.

Jacob was not able to escape when arrested by police in his house at 9:05 p.m. Sunday on order of Judge Marvel Clavecilla of RTC Branch 33, Pili, Camarines Sur.

On Monday, joint operatives of the Bula MPS and Naga City Police Station cornered Llaban, No. 2 municipal most wanted person of Bula, at his residence based on the strength of a WOA penned by Judge Vivencio Atutubo of Pili RTC, Branch 32, for rape.

For illegal drugs and being No. 3 municipal most wanted person of Bula, Garcia was apprehended on Monday by police on order of Judge Erwin Virgilio Ferrer of 5th Judicial Region Branch 33.

Canicula, wanted for rape and No. 7 Municipal Most Wanted Person of Bacacay, Albay, was collared on Saturday at Barangay Fidel Surtida, Sto.Domingo by police who served a WOA from Judge Alben Rabe of RTC Branch 16, Tabaco City.

Belano and Alburo were arrested for theft on order of Judge Samuel Buendia of MCTC-Tiwi.

Ranked No. 9 most wanted person in Tabaco City, Bongala was arrested for rape by police bearing a WOA signed by Rabe at 4:05 p.m. Monday.

Gogola, Ranked No. 5 Most Wanted Person in Matnog, Sorsogon, was cornered by Irosin and Matnog police at about 5:30 p.m. Monday at Barangay Casini, Irosin.

Judge Adolfo Fajardo ordered him arrested for four cases of attempted homicide, with a recommended bail of PHP200,000.

Police caught Bredes at 7:30 p.m. Monday at his residence at Barangay San Roque, Tabaco City on order of Rabe for frustrated murder.

Daraga MPS members arrested Lopos at Barangay San Roque, Daraga, Albay, for violation of RA9262 on order of Judge Pedro R. Soriao of RTC Branch 8, Legazpi City.(PNA) BNB/FGS/JH/CBD
