Iriga City cops file cases vs 2 illegal drug suspects

LEGAZPI CITY, May 2 (PNA) -– The Iriga City Police Station on Monday filed cases for violation of Sections 11 and 12 of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act against two persons after they found illegal drug and drug paraphernalia in the suspects’ residence.

A police report identified the suspects as Manuelito J. de Lima and Ryan de Lima.

The report, however, failed to mention the relationship between the two.

Combined elements of the Iriga City Police Station led by Supt. Alex S. Pederio, Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office and and Buhi Municipal Police Station in Camarines Sur arrested Manuelito at his residence in Zone 4, Barangay San Francisco, Iriga City at about 7 p.m, Thursday but Ryan escaped.

The police officers were armed with Search Warrant No. R-2016-62 issued by Vice Executive Judge Manuel M. Rosales of Regional Trial Court Branch 34, Iriga City.

They recovered 47 transparent plastic sachets placed inside a self-locked plastic, one used open transparent plastic sachet containing suspected "shabu" residue, one rolled aluminum foil with box sealed with masking tape, one bundle of unused transparent plastic sachet sealed with masking tape, one pair of stainless surgical scissors sealed with masking tape, one big heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu (found at the comfort room); and two small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance of suspected "shabu" (found at Manuelito’s bedroom).

The police took photographs and made markings and inventory of pieces of evidence at the residence of the suspects in the presence of the suspect witnessed by Prosecutor Antonette B. Bance, Department of Justice representative; Barangay Councilors Antonia Busadre and Josefina Ester; and Gloria Bongais, media representative.(PNA) LAP/FGS/JH/cbd
