LEGAZPI CITY, March 17 (PNA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry on Wednesday launched two Negosyo Centers in the municipalities of Mercedes and Jose Panganiban in Camarines Norte province.
These Negosyo Centers are now ready to serve all micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and prospective entrepreneurs in the two municipalities.
MSMEs can now enjoy access to financing, business advisory services, capability building, access to market, and other support services right at their doorstep.
The “Go Negosyo Act” provides for the establishment of Negosyo Centers in provinces, cities, and municipalities in the country to bring government services closer to the MSMEs.
"It will boost the development of MSMEs by providing a unified and simplified business registration process, thus, facilitating doing business and fast-tracking government processes in putting up a business in the province," said DTI Bicol Assistant Regional Director Rodrigo Aguilar who graced the occasion.
The opening ceremonies were attended by the local chief executives and other officials of the local government units concerned, officers of financing institutions and the MSME owners who will benefit from the centers.
The LGU-Mercedes Negosyo Center was launched in the morning while that of LGU-Jose Panganiban was done in the afternoon.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of the Negosyo Center signage, a memorandum of agreement was signed by and among the different stakeholders. (PNA) JMC/FGS/CBD/EBP
