LEGAZPI CITY, March 8 (PNA) -- Different units of the Philippine National Police Bicol regional office hauled into various jails eight men wanted for various offenses ranging from rape to murder in the past three days, a report released by the PNP regional office at Camp Gen. Simeon A. Ola here said Tuesday.
Arrested by law enforcers were John Matthew A. Besa, Jovito A. Cribe, Danilo B. Borja, Victor A. Cribe, Jaime B. Serrano, Cesar A. Ebones, Erulito F. Lestones and Christopher A. Lopez.
Ranked as the No. 1 in the list of Ten Most Wanted Persons in the Municipality of Calabanga, Camarines Sur for March, Besa fell into the hands of the law at 4 p.m. Saturday in Zone 4, Barangay Sta. Cruz Poblacion, Calabanga.
Elements of Calabanga Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested Besa by virtue of a warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Pedro M. Redoña, presiding judge, Regional Trial Court Branch 63, Calabanga, Camarines Sur for rape with no bail recommended.
Joint personnel of Malvar MPS in Batangas, Regional Intelligence Division, PNP-Bicol, Talisay MPS and Labo MPS collared Cribe at RR Alley, Barangay Poblacion, Malvar, Batangas at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Judge Amaro M. Meteoro of RTC Branch 64, Labo, Camarines Norte issued the WOA against Cribe, No. 2 Municipal Most Wanted Person of Labo MPS, for murder with no bail recommended.
Personnel of Bula MPS led by PO3 Jeson Max F. Barcenas took in Borja on Sunday at Bula, Camarines Sur on order of Judge Pedro M. Redoña of RTC Branch 31, Pili, Camarines Sur for violation of RA 9262.
Paracale MPS members cornered Victor Cribe at Paracale, Camarines Norte, armed with a WOA issued by Elizabeth M. San Juan, presiding Judge of Calauag, Quezon, for reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property with a bail of Php30,000.
Armed with two WOAs for violation of Section 94 of RA 8550 and violation of Section 68 of PD 705, both issued by Manuel L. Sese, presiding judge of RTC Branch 45, Masbate City, police handcuffed Serrano at about 10:51 a.m., Sunday, at Sitio Talisay, Barangay Mabuhay, San Pascual, Masbate.
Sese recommended a bail of Php24,000 for each case.
Elements of Cataingan MPS arrested Lestones on Monday in Cataingan, Masbate by virtue of a WOA for violation of Section 88 of RA 8550 issued by Fred A. Bien, presiding judge of MCTC, Dimasalang, Masbate, with bail recommended fixed at Php4,000.
