LEGAZPI CITY, Feb. 17 (PNA) -- In preparation for the project "K to 12 Mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk and Vulnerability Reduction Learning Materials for Philippine Schools", the Local Climate Change Adaptation for Development (LCCAD), through the National Panel of Technical Experts, will conduct a technical workshop on Feb. 19-21 at the Casablanca Convention Center here in Legazpi.
The workshop will focus on the awareness campaign, education and information drives, policy formulation, frameworks and planning strategies to address the effect of global warming, climate adaptation, and disaster risk and vulnerability reduction.
It aims to propagate science among young students and synergize various advocacies in Bicol, being a region prone to natural calamities.
The activity will be attended by students, young professionals and other members of the academe.
A media dialogue will be held on Friday.
Expected guests for the event are Secretary Emmanuel M. de Guzman -- vice chairman for Climate Change Commission, Albay Governor Joey Sarte Salceda, Congressman Fernando V.
