Meanwhile, Baguio City won over Bislig City and Cebu City for the city category; while Iloilo and Pampanga over Palawan for the provincial category.
Garcia extended his gratitude to the Sto. Domingo-LGU for its unwavering support to the implementation of Listahanan.
Gawad Listahanan is an award conferred to LGUs for providing services to the poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable sector of the society.
It aims to promote the convergence of all social protection stakeholders on the identified poor to effectively address the different aspects of poverty.
Spearheaded by the DSWD, the Listahanan is an information management system that identifies who and where the poor are.
This system makes available to national government agencies, LGUs and other social protection stakeholders a database of poor families as a basis for identifying potential beneficiaries of their social protection programs and services. (PNA) JMC/FGS/CBD
