LEGAZPI CITY, Feb. 23 (PNA) -– Authorities received three surrendered home-made firearms in two separate occasions in Camarines Sur and Masbate provinces.
In Pamplona, Camarines Sur, Marijun I. Albino, accompanied by the village chief of San Ramon, Pamplona, appeared to the Pamplona Municipal Police Station (MPS) and voluntarily surrendered one improvised home-made gun propelled by alcohol and marble, and one improvised shotgun (sumpak) with one live ammunition for shot gun.
The home-made guns are now in the custody of the Pamplona MPS for proper disposition.
In Masbate, Edgar I. Benitez, village security volunteer of Barangay Malubi, Aroroy Masbate, turned over to Aroroy MPS one homemade shotgun locally known as "Riot" at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
A police investigation disclosed that the firearm was recovered by a certain Rolly V. Ibanez, a farmer and a resident of the same place from the possession of Jeston O. Mato, who managed to escape to an unknown direction.(PNA) FFC/FGS/EMC/CBD
