Legazpi City cops nab 1 man for illegal drug

LEGAZPI CITY, Oct. 22 (PNA) -- Joint elements of the Provincial Intelligence Bureau, Provincial Public Safety Company of the Albay Provincial Police Office and Legazpi City Police Station arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation held Wednesday at at the LKY Grand Terminal, Barangay Bitano here.

The operation led by Senior Insp. Domingo B. Tapel Jr. in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency caught Leopoldo D. Dioneda Jr., a resident of Barangay 34 (Oro Site), Legazpi City.

The raiding team also seized four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu”, PHP16,090.50 cash, one black wallet containing PHP13,800 cash, and one gray Toyota GL 1.6 with plate number TGK 812 from the suspect.

The inventory and markings of seized pieces of evidence were made in the presence of the suspect, Department of Justice representative Venice V. Villaluz, barangay captain Joel M. Balinis and media representative Romeo A. Romero of dzGB.

Dioneda and the seized non-drug items were placed under the custody of the Legazpi CPS while the sachets of suspected shabu were turned over to Regional Crime Laboratory Office-5 for laboratory examination.

The law enforcers conducted the buy-bust operation in line with the ideals of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 and in compliance with the PRO5 CMC No. 20014-02 "Target Output Policy" on campaign against illegal drugs. (PNA) FFC/FGS/EMC/CBD
