LEGAZPI CITY, Oct. 4 (PNA) -- The Philippine National Police Bicol regional office put to jail five more wanted persons in Bicol on Friday and Saturday.
Chief Supt. Augusto M. Marquez Jr., Bicol police regional director, said elements of Paracale Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested on Saturday Edwin P. Salen of P-3, Barangay Maybato, Paracale, Camarines Norte at his residence while personnel of the Bacacay MPS collared Jonathan A. Bandola of Barangay Baclayon, Bacacay, Albay.
Police took in Salen by virtue a warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Wilfredo F. Herico, acting presiding judge of the Municipal Trial Court of Paracale, Camarines Norte dated Sept. 21, 2015 for Direct Assault Upon an Agent of a Person in Authority docketed under Criminal Case No.15-4908 with bail recommended fixed at Php12,000.
Personnel of Bacacay MPS led by Police Insp. Ceferino DM Papa Jr. arrested Bandola on the strength of a WOA issued by Judge Marietta Lea B. Rosana of MCTC Bacacay-Malilipot, Bacacay, Albay for violation of Section 1, Paragraph 3 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 6, docketed under CC No. 3680 dated Aug. 14, 2015.
Basud MPS operatives led by PO3 Sherwin Victor V. Laviste arrested Randy P. Opeña and Gorgonio O. George for attempted homicide on order of Judge Victoria C. Dino-Reyes of MTC Basud, Camarines Norte under CC No. 3157 dated Sept. 18, 2015, with recommended bail fixed at P12,000 each.
The two persons were ranked as No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, in the list of the Municipalities Most Wanted Persons.
Meanwhile, Rogelio O. Goce, a retired PNP officer voluntarily surrendered to members of Basud MPS led by PO2 Riel C. Cabague on Friday in Barangay Poblacion 2, Basud, Camarines Norte.
Goce had a WOA for violation of RA 8294 as amended by RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition) issued by Judge Victoria C. Dino-Reyes MTC Basud, Camarines Norte, dated Sept. 18, 2015, with recommended bail of Php60,000.(PNA) CTB/FGS/EMC/CBD/PJN
