LEGAZPI CITY, July 22 (PNA) -- The Philippine National Police Bicol regional office is ready to send men to assist the National Capital Region Police Regional Office in maintaining peace and order during the last State of the Nation Address of President Benigno S. Aquino III on Monday.
In fact, Police Regional Office 5 headed by Chief Supt. Victor P. Deona is on standby and will immediately dispatch men for the important occasion, if requested by the host regional office.
Senior Insp. Malu Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson, said the Bicol police are always prepared to assist during big events in the National Capital Region.
Calubaquib said they are just waiting for the request of the NCRPO.
She said the PRO5 is always granting the request from other units like the national headquarters and other regional police offices for assistance like during the visit of the Holy Pope wherein it sent reinforcements in provinces of Samar and Leyte.
It has always sent additional men to big events in the Bicol Region like Peñafrancia Festival in Naga City, Daragang Magayon Festival in Daraga, Albay and other festivals.
Calubquib clarified that although they are sending men to assist other regional offices, the PRO5 makes sure that the security of Camp Gen. Simeon A. Ola is not sacrificed.(PNA) FFC/FGS/NIM/CBD
