LEGAZPI CITY, March 23 (PNA) -- Joint elements of the Polangui Municipal Police Station, Albay Provincial Intelligence Branch and Police Regional Special Operations Group arrested two persons in a buy-bust operation at about 5 a.m. Monday in the Bus Stop Terminal at Diversion Road, Barangay Ubaliw, Polangui, Albay.
A police report reaching Chief Supt. Victor P. Deona, Bicol regional police director, identified the suspects as Elsie R. Ballester, a resident of Barangay Balogo, Oas, Albay, and Rey B. Bornasal, a resident of Santiago, Libon, Albay.
The police operatives seized from the suspects two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu; four medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet; two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and nine pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; one pouch bag colored yellow; PHP1,000 bill as buy-bust money; and PHP10,036 cash money in different denominations; and one black and red colored sling bag.
The raiding police officers made markings and inventory of the seized items in the presence of village officials of Barangay Ubaliw, Polangui, Albay, headed by village councilmen Marlon S. Mirabueno and Rommel A. Santayana, media representative Isaias S. Quinaday and the two suspects.
