PNPA alumni to lead 'March for Justice for SAF 44'

LEGAZPI CITY, March 4 (PNA) -- As part of culmination of the 40 days of mourning for the gallant 44 members of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) killed while on a mission to arrest international terrorists in Mamasapano, Maguindanao on Jan. 25, the Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association Inc.(PNPAAAI) Bicol Chapter will lead the “March for Justice for SAF 44” on Sunday.

Police Supt. Benedicto Talavera Pintor, PNPAAAI-Bicol Chapter president, said the march is open to everybody.

Non-government organizations, government employees, students, religious and civic organizations are welcomed and expected to join.

The sympathy march will start at 5:00 a.m. from the grandstand of Camp Gen. Simeon Ola, Legazpi City, to Penaranda Park in downtown Legazpi.

After the sympathy march, a Holy Mass will follow at the Albay Cathedral.

Participants are requested to wear white t-shirt.

Police Senior Insp. Max Jim Ramirez Tria, one of the PNP-SAF 44 men who were killed in Maguindanao, was from Virac, Catanduanes and a member of PNPA Kaisang Bisig Class 2009.(PNA) RMA/FGS/CBD/
