CAMP GEN. SIMEON A. OLA, Legazpi City, July 29 (PNA) – Chief Supt. Victor P. Deona, Police Regional Office 5 regional director, awarded during the regional office’s flag-raising ceremony here on Monday the PNP Efficiency Medal to PO2 Jennifer Kristine P. Galang for being the Champion in the Lady PNCO Category Individual Shooting Competition.
The shooting contest was held during the Chief PNP Cup: Glock Shooting Challenge held at Olongapo Practical Shooting Association Firing Range, Naval Magazine, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City, on June 26-27.
The shooting competition, which is in line with the Chief PNP’s Strategic Focus “CODE-P 2013 and Beyond,” was participated in by selected shooters from the different offices/units nationwide.
Deona also awarded a PNP Merit Medal each to Insp. Renato B. Ibarondo, SPO3 Francis Fidel R. Agnas, PO3 Michael A. Barra and PO1 William V. Bagasbas in recognition of their distinct accomplishment as team leader and members of the combined elements of the Provincial Intelligence Branch, Camarines Sur Provincial Police Safety Company and Nabua Municipal Police Office, Camarines Sur PPO, during the Intelligence Buildup and subsequent implementation of Search Warrant Nos. 2014-19 and 2014-20.
The team was able to arrest on May 14 at Zone 4, Barangay La Opinion, Nabua, Camarines Sur, Phillip B. Sacdal, Penvenbar B. Sacdal, Raymundo B. Salazar and Christian P. Hernandez.
It also confiscated one .45-caliber pistol, one .38-caliber revolver, assorted ammunition, 12.505 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, 0.177 gram of dried marijuana leaves and several drug paraphernalia.
“Their sterling performance immensely contributed to the campaign of the PNP against illegal drugs and loose firearms in line with LOI ‘Kontra Droga-Bravo’ and ‘Kontra Boga-Revised’, thus earning credit not only for themselves but also for the Philippine National Police,” Deona said.
