CAMP BONNY SERRANO, Masbate City, May 28 (PNA) -– The Philippine National Police Recruitment Program for the year 2013 will resume on June 14 after the Commission on Elections ordered a freeze on hiring, promotion, salary increase and transfer of government employees during election period which will end on June 12, a top police official here said Tuesday.
Senior Supt. Heriberto Olitoquit, Masbate Provincial Police Office director, said the PO1 (Police Officer 1) Recruitment Program will start on June 14 and end with the oath-taking of successful applicants on September 30.
In line with this, Olitoquit said, the MPPO’s Administration Branch will be accepting application folders starting June 14 with the following documentary requirements contained in a folder with white tabbing and with table of contents:
Tab “A” - Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (CSC form 212/Revised 2005)/must be handwritten (preferably black ball pen); Tab“B” - Birth Certificate authenticated by the National Statistics Office (for married, submit marriage contract); Tab “C”- Eligibility Report of Rating authenticated by the issuing office/authority;
Tab “D” -2 pieces 2X2 black and white picture indicating applicant’s name (1 bust picture and 1 whole body picture); Tab “E” - Transcript of Scholastic Records and Diploma duly authenticated by the school registrar; Tab “F” - Certificate of good moral character issued by the college/university where the applicant graduated duly authenticated by the school registrar;
Tab “G” - Local clearances (barangay, police, police provincial office, mayors, municipal trial court, regional trial court, provincial prosecutor and National Bureau of Investigation); Tab “H” - Medical Certificate from city/municipal health office and ECG result; and, Tab “L” - Fingerprints and handwriting specimen from the National Police Commission.
To qualify, the applicant must be a citizen of the Philippines; a person of good moral character; must have passed the physical agility test, neuro-psychological examination, general physical and dental examination as well as drug test to be administered by the PNP for the purpose of determining physical and mental health; must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning; must be eligible in accordance with the standards set by Napolcom; must have not been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; must have not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude; must be at least 1.62 meters in height for male and 1.57 meters for female; must not weigh not more or less five kilograms than the standard weight corresponding to his or her height, age, and sex; and, must not be less than 21 nor more than 30 years old upon oath-taking.
The deadline for the submission of folders will be on June 28.
